Chhandotsav

Our language has its own rhythm, its own music, yet many of the traditional chhands that once echoed through Gujarat are now rarely heard. Shree Sailaxmi Foundation presents Chhandotsav, a celebration dedicated to reviving these timeless poetic forms.

On one stage, masters of literature Sairam Dave, Anubha Gadhvi, and Rajbha Gadhvi bring powerful chhands like Chhappaya, Savaiyaa, Zulna, Savajdu, Retidu, Hansavdo, and Hikarna to life. The audience is transported, listening in awe as the beauty, rhythm, and pride of the Gujarati language fills the air once again.
